Ridentem dicere verum quid vetat? *

So a year is 365 or 366 days long… let us never forget the leap year… it’s that marker of time that we all pay attention to a full cycle of seasons, holidays, that birthday that we all think about If we don’t celebrate…
In the past year I have:
Moved back to my home town…thinking it would only be for a little while
Picked up a job
Then another
Then quit one
And got another
Then redefined my job and worked harder
Moved to an nice cozy apartment
Quit one place to work at another
Then got another job….
52 weekends where I worked
I made new friends , and found others to be a bit slimey for my taste
Talked to people and tried to fill in gaps and holes…
There have been good movies and bad movies ,
Bad dates and good ones
Three fish (literally one fish two fish red fish blue fish…)
Lots of books
Food, booze, smoke…
And I have retired two good hats…
I found a firmer grip on my sense of humor and strangely enough my sanity… and I got comfortable with my current definitions of love and friendship and desires…
It’s been a year of living by myself but closer to my family
connecting with my past and seeing how different my reflection has become
Working for a steady paycheck
A year of living mildly…
So listen up here is a little wisdom..
“happiness is a warm meal in a clean house…and warm thoughts on a cold day”
Hehehehehehehehehehe MUwaHA HA HA HA HA HA HA !
