I like to tell people to be open and honest… well I do.. It’s what I like to tell people.
The problem with telling people to be open and honest is that, well, eventually you have to start being open and honest as well…
And man! Can that head butt you in the crotch!
The next time I decide to be open to someone I may reconsider. And keep my mouth shut. Hold a bit of my dignity.
There is a painful reality to the world, and I can rally around the idea of taking people on their merits as opposed to the way they look…. But it just doesn’t seem to sink in… no that’s not giving the people enough credit…
It sinks in with the people who want to hear it… and sometimes the people who need to hear it.
Just not enough for me to see a difference… I can be told it makes a difference but I don’t often see it.
Ask me why I want to hang the spurs up
